The concept is a simple one, so simple you’ll be wondering why has it taken so long before a bunch of alternative rock artists turned to within their own souls, to masterfully outpour melodies from classic hits that’ll live on forever. Robberson High Street covers New Edition’s “Cool it now,” while Francis & The Lights revisit Kanye West’s “Can’t Tell Me Nothing.

This is Wayna’s sophomore release, and even though her name may be unfamiliar to you, you’ve probably hummed along to a very familiar song she’s even made more fascinating, “Loving You” featuring Kokayi . Yes, that Minnie Riperton remake Wayna’s revisited by freeing her soul, making the foundation of its rhythm a human beatbox, and as her jazzy vocals make up for those high notes no one but Minnie Riperton (ok, maybe Mariah as well) could achieve, fortunately more than just a few listeners took notice, and it landed her a big Grammy nod, in the Best Urban/Alternative Performance Category.

“Impressive can mean one of two things to the person you are ordering wine from. It can be impressive in regards to price or your knowledge of the wine. If you get to an exhibit, let me know what you think of it…”

“A lot of the artists are dead but the art will never die. I’ve created a different type of canvas for the art of being a gentleman to be painted on. The times are different … the rules are different … the players are different. The old-fashioned, repressed, bland man has been banished to the Himalayas and a new breed is taking center stage. He is a man of style, sophistication, and security, just as strong and confident as his predecessor, but far more diverse in his interests, his tastes, and, most importantly, his self-image…”
